Dr. Hakimzadeh received her Medical degree from Tulane University, in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1992, and her residency at Wayne State University’s Kresge Eye Institute in 1997. Dr. Hakimzadeh received her board certification in ophthalmology from the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been in private practice since 1997. She specializes in cataract surgery, LASIK surgery, and diagnosis and treatment of major eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy. She is on staff at Crittenton and William Beaumont Hospitals. She is a member of a number of professional societies including, The American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and International Society of refractive Surgery.

Dr. Roxana Hakimzadeh is a skilled and efficient cataract and LASIK surgeon, trained in most up-to-date surgical techniques. Dr. Hakimzadeh performs no stitch, small incision cataract surgery, including premium/ presbyopia correcting cataract surgery, Intralase and CustomVu LASIK.

Dr. Hakimzadeh regularly attends major ophthalmology meetings to maintain her high skill level and acquire continuing medical education. Dr. Hakimzadeh has a very good bedside manner and believes in treating patients with dignity. At our office, patients are seen promptly, with little or no wait, and have a lot of face-to-face time with Dr. Hakimzadeh to ask her any questions regarding their eye care.
